This Privacy Policy applies to the Oki iOS application, the Oki website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge the data practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal information:

• Account registration data, including your email address, age where required by law, display name or pseudonym, and limited information from Sign in with Apple or Google login.
• Profile and learning progress data, including languages studied, proficiency level, lesson results, streaks, achievements, and visibility choices for leaderboards or profiles.
• AI interaction data, including text prompts, translations, essays, voice recordings, and correction history needed to power tutoring, speech, and feedback features.
• Activity and device data, including device model, operating system version, app language, time zone, usage flows, crash reports, and IP-based general location for localization and security.
• Website session data through cookies or local storage where needed to operate the website. We do not state that we use third-party advertising cookies to sell your data to data brokers.

3. How We Process Your Information

Aleem Labs Ltd. processes your information to perform our contract with you, pursue legitimate interests in improving the Service, comply with legal obligations, and rely on consent where required.

• To provide and personalize Oki, including account creation, syncing progress across devices, AI tutoring, grammar corrections, pronunciation feedback, and adaptive lesson planning.
• To research and improve our AI systems, including model evaluation, accuracy refinement, hallucination reduction, and speech-recognition improvement using aggregated or de-identified datasets where applicable.
• To send transactional notices, learning reminders, and marketing communications. You can opt out of non-essential marketing in Settings.
• To maintain safety and security through moderation, abuse detection, fraud prevention, and suspicious activity review.
• To offer personalized advertising where permitted, including device-based ad personalization controls and opt-out choices in the app and on iOS.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share data only as needed to operate, improve, and protect the Service.

• Service providers, including AI and LLM vendors, cloud infrastructure providers, analytics and crash reporting tools, and customer support systems operating under confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
• Legal and safety disclosures where we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect any person from harm, or enforce our Terms.
• Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. If that happens, we may notify you before your information becomes subject to another privacy policy.
• Aggregated or anonymized statistics that cannot reasonably identify you.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, including the EU, UK, or California, you may have privacy rights regarding your personal information.

• Access and portability rights to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction rights to fix inaccurate or incomplete profile information.
• Deletion rights to request permanent deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to legal exceptions.
• Consent withdrawal rights where processing is based on consent, such as some marketing communications.
• AI training opt-out controls for future text chats and voice recordings used to train or fine-tune artificial intelligence models. Opting out does not stop service processing needed to provide a session response.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the Service, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and enforcing agreements.

• Account and subscription data may be retained while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward for compliance and dispute resolution.
• AI interaction data may be retained for service operation, safety review, and model-improvement workflows, subject to your privacy settings and opt-out choices.
• If you request deletion, some information may remain in backups, fraud-prevention records, or legally required archives for a limited period.
• Aggregated, anonymized, or model-integrated information that can no longer reasonably be linked to you is not treated as personal information.

7. Children’s Privacy

We treat users under the age of 13 in the United States, or the applicable age of digital consent in their country, as Child Users and apply additional safeguards.

• Child Users may be asked for a parent or guardian email address, and parents may review, update, or request deletion of child data.
• Child accounts may be placed in a restricted experience with no targeted ads, no marketing, filtered content, anonymous avatars, and tightly limited social discovery or direct messaging.
• Text and audio generated by Child Users are excluded from AI training datasets, and child voice recordings are used only to provide pronunciation feedback.
• For users under 16, we may disable third-party behavioral tracking and limit retention of activity logs.
• In line with COPPA-style requirements described in the source policy, we collect personal information from children under 13 only for internal operation of the Service and delete data collected outside those permissions.

8. International Data Transfers and Corporate Structure

Aleem Labs Ltd. is registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan, while the Service operates as part of a broader U.S.-linked product ecosystem described in the source documents.

• User data may be encrypted and transferred to infrastructure located in the United States for storage and processing.
• By using the Service, you acknowledge and consent to applicable cross-border transfers described in this policy.
• We apply security and privacy controls intended to protect data during international processing.

9. Jurisdiction-Specific Provisions

This policy is designed to work alongside mandatory local privacy laws. If your jurisdiction gives you protections that cannot be waived by contract, those protections take precedence where required by law.

We may also provide supplemental privacy notices or just-in-time disclosures inside the app for specific regions.
